About Yudovich and Adaskin family's.
Hello! My name is Anton Yudovich, and I want to share the story of my family with you! This website contains all the information I know about the Yudovich-Adaskin family.Initially, I wanted to create a website about my grandfather, Mikhail Mikhailovich Yudovich. Over the years, I have cherished the memory of this wonderful and intelligent man.I was 15 years old when he suddenly passed away in Moscow. We all lived together (my parents, grandfather, and grandmother), and it was a huge blow to all of us.I have always been interested in learning about my distant and very distant relatives. It was very pleasant to meet them, especially seeing many common facial features or character traits of our common ancestors. In the process of searching for information about my relatives, I met many of my distant relatives and maintained regular contact with many of them. During the search, I discovered so many different branches and family stories that the website I originally planned about one person grew into a general history of the Yudovich and Adaskin families.Unfortunately, many of the data I had to obtain from archives were very difficult to get due to the age of the records. This is especially true for pre-revolutionary archives and archives stored on the territory of the former USSR during the German occupation.A huge amount of material was destroyed at that time, but a much greater tragedy was the total destruction of Jews in the occupied territories. In particular, in the city of Roslavl, where our family history originates, a concentration camp for captured Red Army soldiers and Jews was created during the occupation, where they were systematically exterminated.Fortunately, some archives have been preserved, particularly rabbinical books where the birth dates of children and parents were recorded. This was the first document I managed to obtain from the archive! From it, I learned that my grandfather's birthday, which we always celebrated, was inaccurate, as he was born on June 1, 1911, not on June 8, as we always celebrated. Also, during Soviet times, Jews were forced to change their names to Russian ones, so Mendel Mikhaylovich Yudovich became Mikhail Mikhailovich Yudovich. And his younger sister, Khaya Yudovich, became Anna Mikhailovna Semyonova. If some information about my grandfather remains, there is practically no information about my great-grandfather. But I can confidently say that thanks to this man's resourcefulness and luck, all of us, distant and close relatives, exist!I couldn't find the birth date of my great-grandfather, but with great difficulty, I discovered the date and place of his death. He died on September 5, 1935, in Mariinsk (Altai Krai). The story of how he ended up there is a separate story worthy of a detective novel. So, here is some brief information to help you understand the structure of our family:Mendel Mikhaylovich Yudovich and his wife Basya Iosifovna Yudovich (Adaskina)Their children:Mikhail Mikhailovich YudovichIosif Mikhailovich YudovichAnna Mikhailovna (Khaya Mikhaylovna) SemyonovaWhat information I don't have and would appreciate help filling in these gaps:1. Information about my great-grandfather2. Information about the period from 1911 to 1950 about my grandfather3. Information about the daughter of Iosif Mikhailovich Yudovich (presumably she has been living in Germany for a long time)4. Information about the family and relatives of Basya Iosifovna AdaskinaI would be grateful for any information about the Yudovich-Adaskin family. If you are related to our family, please get in touch with me! I would be especially happy with photographs. Very few have survived from the period from 1900 to 1950.
